My name is Alex Fernando and I’m the Asst. Director of Recruitment for the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at UNL. I’m so excited you’re interested in our program. We have multiple upcoming recruitment events this spring and summer for you to attend as you start your college decision process and would love to have you visit us soon. 

We're kicking off with our first event, CoJMC Connections, on Thursday, April 18^th. This will be a great opportunity for you to get a tour of the facility and connect with faculty, alumni and fellow students.

Our Husker Weekdays allow you to get the full campus tour experience, along with an academic appointment where you can learn more about CoJMC life and see a tour of the building.

The Big Red Summer Camps allows you to spend a week exploring your career interests and passions. The CoJMC hosts two different camps: digital media and Esports. In the digital media camp, you are able to explore writing, photography, videography, social media, and other forms of media creation. The Esports camp dives into video games, content creation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Spend a week diving into media creation, storytelling and team building opportunities.

Kick off your senior year with CoJMC's Summer Showcase! On Thursday, July 25, Summer Showcase allows you to participate in workshops and breakout sessions while connecting with students, faculty and staff. Experience college life and learn about what future classes and projects in all four majors at this event!
