We do charge as well, but we usually subsidize costs for students/scholars. For example, the Spring Break trip to Nashville- we charged students/scholars $100 which included
hotel, bus, tickets to museums (etc), and a couple of meals.

We have recently started charging for trips for this same reason. We also recently made a decision that we would not offer refunds [unless for very good reason]. We don’t
charge much but we do feel like these extra steps have helped. We are curious to hear from others on this topic as well.
