Hello all,
I hope this week has been going well and everyone is staying warm! I just wanted to let you know that at Friday's meeting we will be discussing the change to the language requirement for fall 2025 as well as some other general topics. We will also have some extended time for updates from career, recruitment, advising, navigators, and GEO.
Let me know if you have any questions,
Amy

Subject: 2025 Union Pacific - LEN Scholarship Application
Caution: Non-NU Email
Hi Dr. Tony Lazarowicz,
We are associated with Union Pacific Railroad's Latino Employee Network (LEN) resource group. Part of our mission and purpose is to advance the support and understanding of the Hispanic community and culture. As part of this mission, we award scholarships to high school and college students of Hispanic and Latin decent. Over the past four years we have awarded close to $40,000 in scholarships to students across Nebraska and Iowa.
We are currently accepting scholarship applications from students and want to communicate to as many students as possible. We have you listed as a contact for your institution. If you are no longer our primary contact for this school, please let me know and we will update our information.
The scholarship program is available to high school seniors and undergraduate students in their first four years of college who are committed to furthering their education. Students may be awarded scholarships of up to $5,000. Scholarship amounts will be distributed based on the discretion of the LEN scholarship selection committee. This is a great opportunity for your students to apply!
Please help us to share the information to your students.
Deadline for submission is March 1, 2025 with award decisions to be finalize on or around April 15, 2025.
All requirements and deadlines are included in the application but if you or a student have any questions that are not covered, please feel free to reach out and we will be happy to answer them.
Please share the attached flyer and this link with your students to apply:
