Thanks Craig,
If it helps, I’m happy to share my ID with them and just text you or borrowing Ambers card if I need inside the office. I don’t anticipate coming up often if at all.
Up to you!
How did the livestream test go?

Hi Frances,
I wanted to let you know that I heard back from the IT team today, and they will probably not be able to provide IT support onsite, due to the front door being locked. They are trying to get card access, the last I heard. If they are unable to do this, they agreed work from their office to support us. I do not want to deal with having to let them in the front door regularly, or accidently getting locked out while nobody to let them in if our office is empty (like lunch).
This is adequate for what I need. Just having the support during the concurrent sessions will be the most needed. As long as they can get into our Slack and let us know there are problems with the livestream, that is my priority.
I am also finding they are not as responsive as when Warren helped us out, which is not surprising. They should still be able to help with simple issues such as Wi-Fi if necessary, right away in the morning.
We can also re-adjust accordingly once we know more later on.
Thanks
Craig
Hi Craig,
Harkamal has graciously agreed to fill in for our final plenary speaker on Thursday. I’ve updated the Cvent spreadsheet. Could you please update that session in the app/website?
Thanks!

Hi Frances,
Please see the title and descriptive text for the session below. Let me know if you have questions or need me to change anything. I will work on the slides and try to send them tomorrow. Thanks.

Title: Using Wild Germplasm to Enhance Drought Adaption in Wheat
Global water and food security face unprecedented challenges, exacerbated by weather extremes and increasing population pressures. This plenary session will explore the critical role that crop improvement through breeding and genetics plays in making crops more adaptive to water limiting environments. The session will highlight the use of genetic resources from wild relatives of wheat for discovering novel sources of drought adaption using cutting edge phenomics, genomics and crop physiology for integration into high-yielding varieties. Discussions will focus on identifying opportunities for collaboration, expanding the scope of integrating wild genetic resources into other crops and role of seed banks in making this a solution for a more resilient food system.

Hi Frances, Rabi is collecting the slides from all his team to put them together in one file. So that includes the majority in his group on circular economy.
I will email the group that Joe and I are leading and gather the slides.

Subject: Prasanna update + speaker slides
Hi Tala,
Happy Friday!
Have you heard from Prasanna yet whether the lunch speaking option will work? If so, I’m happy to update our schedule. Additionally, we may want to name Harkamal’s Thursday morning plenary something different than Prasanna’s to differentiate the two. We have already printed programs but can make the change in our digital materials and our conference app.
Additionally, I have the following speakers from whom we are still awaiting slides:
* William Aderholdt – CS2
* Tala Awada – CS2 (You may not have slides since you’re moderating.)
* Joe Luck – CS2
* Roric Paulman – CS2
* Santosh Pitla – CS2
* Ozan Ciftci – CS4
* Samira Daroub – CS4
* Konstantinos Giannakas – CS4
* Marty Matlock – CS4
* Rabi Mohtar – CS4
* Prasanna – Lunch talk (New addition!)
* Harkamal Walia – Plenary 5 (Extra time is fine on this since it’s so last minute!)
The speakers should have received several reminders about their presentations being due last Monday, April 21 and instructions to send them along to their session leader. Have you heard anything from them or are some not using slides? I just want to avoid any last-minute presentation additions as our A/V team tests these in advance.
As a reminder, here are the instructions to upload slides:
Speaker presentations
* Due ASAP
* Naming system: SessionCode_SpeakerLastName.pptx (Ex: CS1_Hayes.pptx) (Your session code is CS6)
* Powerpoint<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://uofnelincoln.sharepoint.com/:p:/s/UNL-I… > template<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://uofnelincoln.sharepoint.com/:p:/s/UNL-I… > (optional)
* Session leaders upload to Sharepoint folder<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://uofnelincoln.sharepoint.com/:f:/s/UNL-I… > .
* Email after you have uploaded the presentations and I will sort into the appropriate folders for our AV team.
Thanks so much!

Hi Frances,
Here you go!
Amber Poythress
Events Coordinator

Hello, all-
Thank you for volunteering to help get us moved into the conference on Monday! I have hired the UNL movers for getting our furniture from the office to the conference center, which will make this project easier on us. I don't have a timetable for what we will do because it will depend on when the A/V team gets the registration desk and stages built. I appreciate your flexibility around that.
We will be either at the DWFI office or in the NIC Conference Center. If you want additional assistance finding us Monday, call or message me at 718-578-6006.
9am-12pm Moaz, Tony, and Melina
12pm-3pm Ann and Molly
3pm-6pm Michael, Harshanee, and Shubham
Kind regards,
Amber
