Hi Craig,
Harkamal has graciously agreed to fill in for our final plenary speaker on Thursday. I’ve updated the Cvent spreadsheet. Could you please update that session in the app/website?
Thanks!

Hi Frances,
Please see the title and descriptive text for the session below. Let me know if you have questions or need me to change anything. I will work on the slides and try to send them tomorrow. Thanks.

Title: Using Wild Germplasm to Enhance Drought Adaption in Wheat
Global water and food security face unprecedented challenges, exacerbated by weather extremes and increasing population pressures. This
plenary session will explore the critical role that crop improvement through breeding and genetics plays in making crops more adaptive to water limiting environments. The session will highlight the use of genetic resources from wild relatives of wheat for
discovering novel sources of drought adaption using cutting edge phenomics, genomics and crop physiology for integration into high-yielding varieties. Discussions will focus on identifying opportunities for collaboration, expanding the scope of integrating
wild genetic resources into other crops and role of seed banks in making this a solution for a more resilient food system.

Hi Frances, Rabi is collecting the slides from all his team to put them together in one file. So that includes the majority in his group on circular economy.
I will email the group that Joe and I are leading and gather the slides.

Subject: Prasanna update + speaker slides
Hi Tala,
Happy Friday!
Have you heard from Prasanna yet whether the lunch speaking option will work? If so, I’m happy to update our schedule. Additionally, we may want to name Harkamal’s Thursday
morning plenary something different than Prasanna’s to differentiate the two. We have already printed programs but can make the change in our digital materials and our conference app.
Additionally, I have the following speakers from whom we are still awaiting slides:
The speakers should have received several reminders about their presentations being due last Monday, April 21 and instructions to send them along to their session leader. Have
you heard anything from them or are some not using slides? I just want to avoid any last-minute presentation additions as our A/V team tests these in advance.
As a reminder, here are the instructions to upload slides:

Thanks so much!
