University of Nebraska Information Technology Services (NU-ITS) will be making a change to our eduroam wireless network on July 12th at 10:00 PM. eduroam, a secure worldwide wireless network roaming federation that enables users to easily connect to Wi-Fi at educational institutions around the world.

To support roaming at other institutions, eduroam requires users to authenticate with a fully-qualified username (…@nebraska.edu, …@unl.edu, …@unomaha.edu, or …@unk.edu). On July 12th at 10:00 PM, eduroam will be reconfigured on the NU System campuses to no longer accept short usernames.

We noticed that you have at least one device that may require action to remain connected to eduroam after this change occurs. NU-ITS highly recommends that your devices be reconfigured before the change to prevent issues.

Please review the knowledge base article on configuring your devices for the wireless network. If you have already worked with your IT support staff to reconfigure your devices, please disregard this message.
