Afternoon Collab!
Please distribute the following to the faculty in your units who would be interested:
The Engagement Collaborative is hosting two one-hour virtual open houses. Faculty looking for community partners for service learning or research participants can meet with several community partners simultaneously, and community partners can attend one event
and meet with several faculty members.
More about the events:
At the start of the open house, all the faculty members introduce themselves and their project(s), and then they are sent to their own breakout room. Community partners can then bounce around to several breakout rooms and meet with the faculty they want to
partner with. Usually, we have community partners from organizations like the Panhandle Partnership, the Nebraska Commission on Latino Americans, Chambers of Commerce, the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, and other non-profits attend.
The virtual events are being scheduled for early spring semester. There are usually two one-hour open houses. We prefer faculty attend both events, but we understand it might not be possible.
