Glow Big Red - 24 Hours of Husker Giving

Dear UNL Food Science and Technology Alumnus,

Glow Big Red — 24 Hours of Husker Giving is here, and the Department of Food Science and Technology is counting on you. Will you join us this Valentine’s Day to celebrate Glow Big Red?

As a valued member of our alumni community, we wanted to reach out to you with an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of the Department of Food Science and Technology. From noon to noon on Feb. 12-13, Huskers from around the world will come together for 24 hours to raise money for scholarships and student events here at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Wondering how you can show your love for UNL during Glow Big Red?

Give: Join your fellow Huskers by making a gift of $5 or more to support scholarships and/or student events! Not only does your contribution fill our hearts, but you will also help us reach our campus goal of 5,000 gifts!

Make your gift at glowbigred.unl.edu/campaigns/department-of-food-science-and-technology today or any time before noon on Feb. 13.

Your gifts will enable us to organize various student events throughout the academic year. These events are designed to supplement classroom learning, expose students to industry professionals, and enhance their practical skills in the field of food science and technology. Events include, but are not limited to:

1.

Battle of the Food Scientists, March 13

2.

Food Science and Technology Research Symposium, April 21

3.

Food Science and Technology Recognition Banquet, May 5

4.

Food Science and Technology Fall Welcome Ice Cream Social and Resource Fair in August

Share: Use the hashtag #GlowBigRed to tell others you love UNL this Valentine’s Day!

Thank you for considering our request. We genuinely appreciate your commitment to education and empowering the next generation of food scientists and technologists.

P.S. Looking for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for someone, or even yourself? Don’t miss this: Contribute $75 or more, and we’ll send you a pair of cozy Husker Mittens for Glow Big Red 2025

Sincerely,
