Hi all,
It is with mixed feelings that I must announce that Byron Chaves will be leaving the Department early next year. He has recently accepted a position at Rutgers University. We are sad to see him go and he will be certainly missed here
at UNL, but we are happy for this new opportunity, and we look forward to witnessing the wonderful things that he will do in his new position.
Byron will work with his students and faculty to
ensure completion of projects, and he will work on continuity plans for his graduate students, who will be staying at UNL. We will work together to ensure a smooth transition of his research, extension, and teaching programs.
Please help me congratulate Byron on this big step and wishing him all the best in this new adventure.
Congrats Byron! We are proud of you!
