Title: "Metaorganismal Endocrinology: Microbe-Host Interactions in Health and Disease."
Summary: Dr. Brown will discuss several ongoing projects aimed at understanding diet-microbe-host interactions that produce bioactive metabolites that systemically circulate. These gut bacterially-derived metabolites are then sensed by host receptors
to elicit effects on normal physiology as well as impacting cardiometabolic disease progression.
