Pablo is known for his work on scale up and process development for several products, with main focus in development of aseptic processing and validation technologies. He pioneered the
continuous flow microwave heating application for aseptic processes as part of his PhD and has worked in the industrial adoption and validation of advanced processing technologies. Beginning his career in Ecuador, he has worked in several places around the
world further researching and advancing the industrial adoption of such technologies. Pablo was recognized with an IFT Industrial Scientist Achievement Award for the adoption of several of the technologies developed which resulted in many innovative products
in the market. He works as consultant at CRB Engineers and is actively working in developing processes for alternative proteins at industrial scale. Pablo is also adjunct faculty at NC State, a Thermal Process Authority of LACF Aseptic foods, and co-editor
of the 3rd edition of the Handbook of Aseptic Processing and Packaging.
