Show your love for the planet by giving your clothes a second life!

Bring your gently used clothing items and swap them for something new-to-you. No holes, stains, undergarments or bathing suits, please. Bring up to 15 items to swap, or you can also shop the swap for $1 per item.

It’s not just about swapping, though! Also available:

  • Sustainable Shopping: Browse through eco-friendly fashion finds from local vendors.
  • Mending Station: Got a tear or a loose button? Experts will help you mend and breathe new life into your beloved garments.

Together, let’s reduce fashion waste and make a positive impact on our environment. Every small action counts!

Join the fun! Take a walk at lunch with us!

On Wednesday, April 24, at 11:45 a.m. put on your walking shoes and meet other NIC Partners in the outdoor plaza for an organized, casual group walk.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) and YMCAs across the state invite you to join in on the fun of National Walk at Lunch (NW@L) Day on Wednesday, April 24. NW@L Day is an annual event that encourages community members to walk for 30 minutes any time, any place, to prioritize their well-being.

As an added bonus, NW@L Day supports the community, too! If 10,000 Nebraskans take the NW@L Day pledge, BCBSNE will donate $5,000 to Special Olympics Nebraska, a nonprofit providing year-round sports training and competitions for children and adults with disabilities.

Plus, BCBSNE will also make a $1,000 donation to one lucky participating school’s physical education department!

Click here to take the NW@L Day pledge to participate and help make a difference while working on your fitness.

Senior Design Accepting Project Requests for Upcoming Academic Year

The School of Computing invites NIC Partners to submit software project ideas for its 2024-25 Senior Design capstone course.

Senior Design is the capstone program for Nebraska School of Computing students majoring in data science, computer science, software engineering and computer engineering. Students work in teams of five to six on a tech project sponsored by industry or university faculty. The two-semester course provides real-world, professional experience preparing students for their careers.

Why sponsor a Senior Design project?

  1. Sponsors request a project, and students develop a project/solution for the sponsor. The sponsor owns 100% of the intellectual property.
  2. Sponsors save on costs. Outsourcing or hiring one full-time employee costs more than a Senior Design project.
  3. Senior Design serves as an excellent recruiting pipeline for School of Computing students. Senior Design sponsors often hire students from their teams after graduation.
  4. Senior Design offers sponsors and students an opportunity to innovate and collaborate on fresh ideas.

Submit a Project Request >>

Submit your project now as only a limited number of projects will be accepted. The deadline to submit is May 31, 2024.

Once Upon a Time…The Sherman-Howard County Baseball League
Photo Collection by Randy Lukasiewicz
On Display Through April 28
Link, 2nd Floor Gallery

Experience the “Once Upon a Time…The Sherman-Howard County Baseball League," a unique town team baseball photo collection that is making its 26th stop at Nebraska Innovation Campus.

Put on your jersey, grab a friend or former teammate and spend the afternoon reminiscing about afternoons at the ballpark. What started out with a 1926 Howard County Championship photo of Randy Lukasiewicz’s grandfather has not stopped. A long time ago, Randy asked Coach Osborne, who has roots back to Farwell, NE, a small Polish village rich in baseball tradition, what he should do with all his photos, Coach Osborne simply replied, “I’m sure you’ll think of something.” He was right!

Stop by the 2nd floor gallery space and stroll through the countless photos and memorabilia from the memorable era of Sunday afternoons spent at the ballpark with the sounds of wooden bats and steel cleats.

This exhibit is free and open to the public daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
