Good morning,
This note is to mention that we had an incident in lab 307 that could have caused injury but was not reported. It appears that a hot plate was used (without permission)
to make media and it boiled over, making a mess on the bench and walls. It was not reported to the lab’s PI. We would appreciate anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
If you are overseeing lab space, please remember to train your students and personnel to:
1) Ask permission to use equipment from other labs
2) Report any incidents to their supervisor and the PI of the lab
3) Clean up any equipment, spills, or areas after use
