Class accounts on HCC resources are temporary and to be used only for the duration of the semester for coursework purposes. After the semester ends, we will lock and remove accounts used exclusively for classes. If your account is a part of a research group at HCC, your account will only be removed from the class group but will remain in your HCC research group. In either case, all files/data will be removed from the class group at that time. Before December 20, 2024, you must copy any files/data you would like to keep from your class group’s storage to another location (e.g., OneDrive or other cloud storage, personal computer). Globus is one recommended method to transfer a larger number of files to your personal computer, or if you are a UNL student, UNL’s OneDrive. Other options include tools such as RClone, RSync, and Open OnDemand. If you have any questions, please email hcc-support@unl.edu or join our Open Office Hours.
