Just a friendly reminder about the Latino Festival this weekend hosted by El Centro.  We will have a booth and Luis has volunteered to be there, but more help is appreciated.  It's mostly just hanging out at the booth.  I'll be there but I get called away for duties with El Centro and other organizations.  If you do plan to come to the booth, please reach out to Luis.

Hello Festival Participant!

First, a big thank you!

Your participation in the Latino Festival is what makes it the success that it is year after year. Thank you so much for your time and your support.

Your organization/agency, UNL Institute of Ethnic Studies, is currently registered as a Habanero Pepper Sponsor for the Latino Festival. This includes one 6 foot by 2.5 foot table and two chairs which will be set up before your arrival. Participants are recommended to check in at El Centro’s booth and pick up their festival packet by 12 o’clock noon and should have their tables ready by 2 o’clock pm for the start of the festival. Tear down is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm. Volunteers as well as staff members will be present and available to assist you throughout the festival.

Please note that if you are not registered as a food vendor, selling food from your booth is not permitted as we are required to provide the food handler permit number of any food selling booths to the Department of Health. If you are not registered as a food vendor and would like to sell food from your booth please contact events@elcentrone.org. 

Attached to this email you will find a parking map and festival schedule. There are two entrances to the park: one using A Street to access Memorial Drive, and one using South Street to access Memorial Drive. Two parking lots are available for your use which are marked on the attached parking map. 

If you are unable to make it to the festival for any reason or as a sponsor would like to waive the booth reserved with your sponsorship please contact events@elcentrone.org.
