Good morning, everyone!

I enjoyed meeting those who attended our first class last Saturday. We introduced ourselves, learned more about the program, and enjoyed a nice meal together. This week we will continue to grow our relationships - with each other - with plants - with insects.

Where we will meet:

This week we will be meeting at the Entomology #3 Greenhouse on East Campus at 9am. It is just a few blocks north of Plant Sciences Hall off of 38^th Street. Click here to see the location of the greenhouse on a map or look at the attached PDF map. After the greenhouse, we will walk back to Plant Sciences Hall (where we met last week).

Before Class:

Please read Chapter 1 of Braiding Sweetgrass Skywoman Falling before class and write down some of your thoughts and reflections in your notebook.

What we will be doing:

Getting acquainted with the greenhouse - learning about the tools and equipment available - seek and find game!
Meeting some plant relatives
Meeting some animal life in the greenhouse - the little ones (arthropods)!
