We have a confirmation on tomorrow’s move.
Can one of you volunteer to be around the lab to answer any questions tomorrow starting at 9 am and going until they are finished (or 11 am, whichever comes first)?
Also, make sure that the nano enclosure gets cleaned out today so it is ready for the move.

Hello lab,
Here are a couple of updates/reminders:
1. If you are a graduate student or post doc, you are expected to send my your work plan each week by 9 am on Monday morning. Your work plan should be a word document that is saved as ‘date work plan name’. The date is the YYMMDD configuration that we use. Your name can be your initials, your first name or your last name. You can have spaces or underscores between the items, I don’t care. But I do want to be able to just hit save and save a version of your document without having to rename it (this might not take time for one document but it is a silly way for me to waste time when doing it for multiple documents).
2. The person to move the desks/table between 258 and 264 will be here Wednesday morning. Please make sure that everything is off of the table and desks that will be moved by Tuesday night.
3. The people that are moving the fridge/freezer, tables, blow-out hood are likely coming tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 8 am. I will be here for part of the time, but the graduate students and post doc need to be here if possible because we will need to unload items from the freezer for the move and then load the freezer back up. Please move all items out of the fridge by tonight – they can go into the new fridge for now. If this changes I will let you know as soon as I hear from the company (they suggested coming tomorrow morning and I agreed, but haven’t received a confirmation yet).
4. I will put post it notes on the wall and items that are being moved to help with the move, but if you are unsure where items are going please ask me.
Let me know if you have any questions,
Iverson

Hi team,
This looks like a really good opportunity!
Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it because of my conference but if any of you is able to go, kindly share what you learn with me :).
Thanks!
Regards,
Portia

Hi team,
My niece is playing in the semi-final state soccer game today at 1:30 pm. This is during my office hours, so I might need to stop and talk to students, but my plan is to watch the game online.
If anyone wants to watch with me you are invited to do so, just come by at any point between 1:30 – 3 pm (I do tend to yell at the screen a lot, so be prepared).

We are ready to move to our new/bigger lab space!
We will move out of room 257 and into 263. We will keep 263A (the microscope/tissue culture room) as it is. We will move things down from the third floor to room 257. We will only get the chemical hood and the partial bench in 257 for a limited time (until someone else needs the space).
The Kievit lab should be moved out of 263 by Monday. So I would like us to get things organized on Monday/Tuesday. On Tuesday we can organize the new lab space as a group. Then on Wednesday we can start moving things. We will get help on the actual move of large items, but if things are delicate we might want to move them ourselves.
Ivon – please organize everyone on Monday so that we can have a smooth move.

Hi team,
I don’t know if I will be able to attend any of these events, but she said that they are open to all faculty, staff, and students – so you are all welcome to attend. The alumni center is very nice, usually a little bit dressier, so they will likely be good events!
