What are these marks? Is it from acids/piranha solution? If you spill liquid on the floor, you need to clean it up immediately! I do not want our lab to be responsible for replacing the floor – it will be incredibly expensive, cutting into the number of students/post docs we can support.

Please check your area during/after every experiment.

How can we make sure that this does not continue to happen?

Subject: Lab 257 - Floor Stains

Hi Nicole

Something is being spilled on the Floor in Lab Room 257 and staining it, Custodial has tried mopping and using a cleaning pad without success.  Since these floors are rubber spills soak into the floor instead of sitting on top if not cleaned up right away.

They only way to remove these stains is a process of restoring the floor that is very labor intensive and costly.  Could you please let your lab occupants know to be more careful and to clean up spills at the time they happen.

Thank You
