In case you are interested but the previous email slipped past you, there are still some tools available for allocation to labs (extending the pickup deadline through the end of the first week of classes). Please
see Max in the Kiewit Hall Garage if interested.

Subject: tools available for teaching and research labs
Long time friend of the college Robert W. Brightfelt donated many of his personal tools to the College of Engineering. The Garage received the equipment and is looking to distribute some of it to departmental
teaching labs and faculty research labs throughout the college.
Items become available in the Garage (southeast corner of KH, 1st floor) beginning
Jan. 13 at 9:00 AM.
Any tools that remain unclaimed after
Jan. 17 at 5:00 PM will be sent to surplus.
-
The tools are organized and labeled as in the attached photos.
-
Individual tools can be removed starting Jan. 13; toolboxes (limit 1 per lab) can be "claimed" by placing a sticky note with faculty or department name but should not be removed until Jan. 17.
-
Please only take what you need.
-
Please avoid breaking up sets (i.e., don't take one wrench or socket from a complete set) - use your best judgment as to which items should remain together.
-
Removal is your responsibility; bring a box or cart if planning to take more than a couple of items.
-
Please do not bring more help (e.g., graduate students) than needed to carry away the items you are claiming - we want to avoid chaos/congestion on Monday morning.
🙂
