QED Problems for this week

Hi everyone, I've included some old qual problems in the subjects we decided to focus on. I will try and include about 5 problems each week. Please look at them on your own time and then we can discuss them in QED seminar on Friday. Hopefully all of you have Yvonne's email with the link to the old qual archive. Qualifying Exam Study Seminar/Questionnaire

Hi everyone, I will be organizing the QED seminar this semester. If you don't know, QED stands for Qualifying Exam Discussion (and not Quod Erat Demonstrandum, or something silly like that). The seminar is a dedicated time each week to study for qualifying exams with your fellow students. We will be meeting on 2-3 PM Fridays in Avery 345. Our first meeting will be this Friday, January 24th.
