It has been about a month since my last email, so I wanted to reach out once again to keep you informed about fellowship payments for summer 2025 tuition, fees, and stipends.
For those of you who still have a balance on your account, I am aware of the issue and assure you that I am sending emails and calling folks on your behalf every week. Once the necessary funds show up in the Foundation account, I will submit paperwork to pay for the remaining tuition and fees owed. As I stated previously, I will continue to coordinate with UNL Student Accounts on your behalf to ensure that you are not charged any late fees. Please note: If you do notice a late fee or registration hold placed on your account, please feel free to contact me and I will reach out to Student Accounts to find out what's going on.
Stipends for summer 2025 courses have not been paid out yet. Once the necessary funds show up in the Foundation account, I will submit paperwork to have your stipends awarded. As long as you have signed up for Direct Deposit, you do not need to take any further action. As with your tuition and fees payment, this process takes some time. I will work on your behalf to get stipends paid out as soon as possible.
I recognize the process for payment is slow and can be very frustrating. I promise I'm doing all I can on my end to get things sorted out. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

First, some of you may notice that you still have a balance on your account for summer classes, so I wanted to reach out to keep you updated on the situation. I promise I haven’t forgotten about you. I am keeping an eye on situation and am working diligently with the necessary internal partners to resolve it. We know this is a frustratingly slow process and if you feel annoyed, we empathize with you. In the meantime, I will continue to coordinate with UNL Student Accounts on your behalf to ensure that you are not charged any late fees AND that there is not a hold placed on your account due to an unpaid bill. Consequently, you should be able to register for fall classes. Please note: If you do notice a late fee or registration hold placed on your account, please feel free to contact me and I will reach out to Student Accounts on your behalf.
Second, once necessary funds show up in the Foundation account, I will submit paperwork to have your stipends paid out. Third, regarding the proposed Summer reception, the donor never got back to us with their availability, so we were unable to get a date nailed down in time for this summer. I will send out an update if/when I hear more from the NU foundation contact who is working with the donor.
Lastly, if you plan to enroll in classes this fall that will be paid for by fellowship funds, please submit this information via the Enrollment Tracking survey: https://go.unl.edu/myenrollment .
