Hi all, I just wanted to remind everybody that FST paid for the license of BioRender for 100 seats. We currently have a little bit over 30 people. Everybody in the department can use this tool (faculty, students, post-docs, staff). If you are not familiar with BioRender, it is a platform to create professional science figures and diagrams. It can be used for presentations, graphical abstracts, and even posters! If you are like me, with little to no imagination and arts skills, this is a great tool! All, Theresa and Rick with Calibrations International will be onsite this year again to service pipets and balances. They will be onsite March 3-4th to set up shop in the 3rd floor labs like previous years but can move around the building for balances as needed. See the attached flyer for pricing. We have always gotten enough pipets to service in the past to offer the Clinic Day Discount to everyone. Afternoon, We have been informed that the power will be shutting off in 15 minutes (1:55 pm). There was some sort of issue with the transformer and LES needs to shut down power in order to fix this. Anything on a RED outlet should kick over to the generator. The power should be out for about 4 hrs, so plan accordingly. Sorry for the late notice. We just found out.
