Hello, all; hope you’re getting excited for our upcoming Symposium!
I attach a more detailed version of the schedule than the one you got yesterday, and the very detailed abstract list. If you have had little experience with conferences or abstracts, many people read the abstracts ahead of time in order to decide what presentations they’re going to attend.
A few logistics:
* We will have a registration table on the second floor just outside of the elevator/stairwell.
* If you are presenting in any capacity (including having already recorded a video) there will be a preprinted nametag for you. Please pick it up (among other things, that helps us know you’re here!)
* If you are not presenting, we’d still like to know who you are, and have blank nametags that you will be encouraged to use.
* If you requested a lunch please make sure you pick up your lunch ticket. We had to place orders a couple weeks ago, so only people who have a lunch ticket are ensured a lunch.
* Events will be happening throughout the day, and sometimes more than one thing will be going on at once.
* Presenters are eligible for awards (two given for outstanding poster, two for outstanding oral, and two for outstanding presentation in any of the other categories). Awards will be given after John Sweeney’s talk, in room 277; we will ask winners to come to the front and to stick around for a moment and get their pictures taken with Dr. Martini.
* Remember that there is an IFT Aksarben event at the Mill at 5:30! If you are an IFT Aksarben member you should have received an invitation (if you think you should have one but you don’t, please reach out to me). Attendance is free for members, but they do require you to obtain a (free) ticket.
* All presenters can expect another e-mail from me before the end of the day with details specific to your presentation category. I need to run an errand now, but will be back and you have not been forgotten!
See everyone Monday!
