Dear Colleagues,
To strengthen communication, collaboration, and innovation across the University of Nebraska system, all employees and students will be migrating to a unified Microsoft 365 platform this fall. This migration has been carefully planned and thoughtfully developed over time to ensure a smooth transition and long-term success.
This migration will: - Enable future-ready technology such as Microsoft Copilot AI - Streamline collaboration across campuses and units - Enhance research security with compliant cloud-based storage - Simplify access using a single login: NUID@nebraska.edumailto:NUID@nebraska.edu
This system-wide initiative—called the Future Ready Cloud Collaboration Workspace (FRCCW)—will deliver a more integrated and secure digital workspace for all NU campuses. Please share this message with faculty and staff in your unit(s). Planned Timeline November 2024: Migration process began for UNL. Fall 2025: IANR will migrate to the new platform. Now through Summer: ITS is compiling an inventory of all devices (e.g., computers, printers, servers). Please assist if contacted. May 2025: We’ll begin gathering details on SharePoint sites, Teams, shared mailboxes, and other collaborative resources. Summer–Early Fall: Watch for migration updates from IANR and ITS. 30 Days Before Migration: You’ll receive detailed instructions and reminders. Key Benefits

What This Means for You • Email Address: No change. • Username: Will become NUID@nebraska.edumailto:NUID@nebraska.edu for all Microsoft 365 services and desktop logins. • Microsoft 365 Data: OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, and shared resources will migrate to a new tenant. Previously shared links will need to be recreated post-migration. • TrueYou Username: Will also change to NUID@nebraska.edumailto:NUID@nebraska.edu, unifying access for: - University devices - Office 365 - SAP/Firefly - Eduroam WiFi - Desktop and mobile apps • Shared Links & Permissions: - Internal permissions will migrate automatically. - External collaborator permissions must be re-shared post-migration.
