Happy April 15! I just wanted to send a quick update on grad admissions. I think we’re in pretty good shape, overall, but as always we could accommodate more MA students, so if you know any good UNL undergrads/recent grads who might be interested please send them my way.

We have 2 MAs starting Fall 2026: Chase McClure Zach Wendling

And 5 PhDs have committed: Alexis Barnes Claire Bartels Kyra Guerin Matthew Jockers Ayoub Nachat

I have two prospective PhD students (both military) who have not finalized their decisions yet. This is largely due to changes in how the military is supporting PhD education / difficulty getting things approved on their end. I’m in final negotiations with Tara and hope to have that finalized soon, and Travis has asked for an extension until 6/15 to work out issues on his end. I think both are very interested in us but needing to finalize logistics and get DOW approval. Tara Hammer Travis Zahnow
