Hope your campuses are filled with the energy and excitement of students coming back and a new semester! Thanks for the great conversation at our meeting, here are the highlights:

Carnegie Sustainability Designation

* Attached is a copy of the questions being asked. Reach out if we need to have an additional conversation about this among those who are working on the designation.

System-wide Data Tracking Platform

* On-going discussion and search for best practices (or miracle…).

Course Tagging & Data Tracking

* Minnesota identified 275 community-engaged courses across 5 campuses via faculty survey; most lack the formal CEL attribute. * Wiping existing CEL designations this fall and rebuilding with consistent system-wide criteria (process took ~3 years). * Implementing GivePulse integrated with Canvas; shift toward faculty self-management with technical support and expanded faculty development. * Data currently cobbled from surveys, internship flags, field placement searches, and clinical rotation records. * This will be the focus of our October meeting.

Co-Curricular Transcripts

* Multiple institutions pursuing this initiative but no one has a working model.

Fall Meeting Topics/Leads

* September - Connecting with Deans — strategies for engaging college leadership; Jason Reece and Kathleen Lodl * October - Course tagging/CEL Attributes — Minnesota's landscape analysis work; Laurie VonEgeren * November - Engagement Model - Roberto Gallardo * December Zoom canceled — replaced by in-person meeting December 10 and 11. We will begin at 8:30 on December 10 and finish at 11:00 on December 11.
