Good afternoon, Relatives!
Two action items for you today, please: (1) those students who are going on the field trip, if you could give us a heads up, then we won't leave anybody behind accidentally on Friday morning AND we will be able to let our hosts know how many of us will be there for lunch. Reply to this email or reach out to me at 402-417-6424 (text or call, as you see fit). Many thank yous!
** I don't care if you haven't been to class in a while, I still want you to go on this adventure with us! Come. This is valuable. **
(2) Saturday's chapter from Braiding Sweetgrass is chapter 30, Shkitagen: People of the Seventh Fire (ps- she means YOU!)
https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://youtu.be/1gKRa5H6JBk?si=7hu-B6K5hY_K0qQf... <- this is not her reading it, but if you have spotify, that's her reading it on there.
Saturday we will start in the greenhouse and finish in the classroom. The greenhouse is NOT as heated as it was in the spring, you will want to wear layers (plus we'll walk over to Plant Sciences together and you'll want warmth for that.)
A third action item: if you have not already marked December 18th on your calendar, please do. That's our graduation dinner, 6pm. I heard last year was pretty tasty! Plus it'll be a good chance to think through which of the other programs might be a good fit for your personal / life goals.
Wopila for this year, it has been a gift to be with you and learn from you.
See you Friday morning, 8:00 am (EIGHT AM), Plant Sciences Hall,
Molly
