Hello Relatives!
Greetings from the chilly, misty Wednesday morning. We will start in the greenhouse on Saturday and finish in the classroom. Please bring your journals! Remember those? We're starting our dive into entrepreneurship: setting prices, structuring a business, etc. You'll want to take notes. Depending on how the morning goes, we may be able to also touch back in with Braiding Sweetgrass, so please read or listen to Chapter 4, An Offering. This link goes to a youtube of somebody else reading of the chapter, but I understand that if you have Spotify, it's actually her reading it, so more cool. https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_faDBEH6uIA__;!!...
Also, please check your calendars. How many of us are available for a morning field trip on FRIDAY December 5 to listen to Robin Wall Kimmerer in Omaha? This would be in lieu of your regular school day, so look at your syllabus- anybody have a test coming up or a presentation due that day? Teachers have a lot of ability to be flexible IF we don't spring things on them last minute.
I look forward to seeing you Saturday. I really appreciated how many of you stayed til noon last week. That was valuable community time. Please aim for that again this week. Many thanks, Molly
Ps- those with home gardens- there's another frost predicted about 10 days out. It's time to heal in anything in pots that hasn't already been dug into the ground or brought inside yet for the winter. Grab some of the neighbors leaf bags to use for mulch. This has been a warm autumn, but we expect a fairly normal (coooold) February.

Hello Relatives!
We’ll meet at 9:00 AM at the greenhouse tomorrow morning. Ted and Christian Stephenson will lead the morning, helping you transplant plants and plant more herbs. It’s expected to be chilly tomorrow morning, so please dress in layers to stay comfortable as you warm up in the greenhouse or walk over to our classroom for food.
Please take a moment to check your calendars. How many of us are available for a morning field trip on Friday, December 5, to listen to Robin Wall Kimmerer in Omaha? This would replace your regular school day, so check your class schedules—does anyone have a test or presentation scheduled for that day? Teachers can often be flexible, but only if we communicate with them in advance, so let’s avoid last-minute surprises. We’ll have guardian permission forms and an itinerary ready for you tomorrow.
Molly isn’t feeling well this week, and we’ll miss her! Molly, we hope you feel better soon.
Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
Kind regards, Louise

Greetings relatives!
This is a friendly reminder that we do NOT have class tomorrow, Saturday, November 30th.
We look forward to seeing you for our last class session on Saturday, December 7. More details to come.
Please keep an eye out for some upcoming emails with important information about your Omaha trip to see Dr. Kimmerer, author of Braiding Sweetgrass (Friday December 6) and your graduation and celebration dinner (Wednesday December 18 @ 6 PM).
Kind regards, Louise I. Lynch-O’Brien UNL Entomology
